Senior Staff Nurse (Wound Care)

We are a recruitment company helping our clients to hire candidates for their organization.

Roles & Responsibilities

Independently assess patients with acute and chronic wounds, ostomy and continence-related conditions, including skin/tissue viability, vascular status, wound aetiology, measurement, pain, nutritional and psychosocial factors, and pressure injury risk
Identify wound complications such as infection, ischaemia, necrosis, deteriorating or atypical wounds, and escalate promptly when required
Provide advanced wound care interventions, including wound cleansing, dressing selection and application, compression therapy support, exudate management, pressure injury prevention, and NPWT application and monitoring
Perform conservative sharp wound debridement within approved scope of practice and credentialing requirements
Serve as a wound care resource and clinical consultant to internal nursing teams and external community/healthcare partners, including case reviews and referral pathway guidance
Contribute to the development and review of clinical standards, service improvement initiatives, and evaluation of new wound care technologies
Provide bedside coaching, mentorship, and competency training to nursing staff and act as a trainer/facilitator in wound care education programmes
Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and research/evidence-based practice projects
Maintain accurate clinical documentation, service records, and outcome reports; support inventory management and coordinate training programmes
Job Requirements

Registered Nurse with valid SNB registration and practising certificate
Advanced Diploma or Certification in Wound Care, Ostomy and Continence Nursing preferred
Minimum 5 years of post-registration nursing experience, with wound care specialisation
Strong clinical judgement and ability to work independently
Good communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
Willingness to provide on-site consultation across care settings when required
