Speech Therapist (Full / Part-time)

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide clinical supervision and consultation to enhance rehab service standards
Assist in establishing evidence-based practice through guidelines, protocols and equipment
Provide direct clinical service to a general or specialised group of patients
Coordinate the rehab team to enhance manpower usage and maintain good rehab standards
Follow up on improvements after auditing
Support procurement of equipment and allocation
Maintain equipment and its inventory
Assist in organising staff and caseload coverage
Assist in leading staff meetings related to rehab service standards
Appraise junior staff
Conduct incident investigation and reporting
Assist in introducing measures to enhance efficiency and work safety
Follow up on individual staff training plans
Assist in organising drills and audits to ensure staff competency
Coordinate departmental in-service training planning, projects and individual training plans to progress rehab development
Enhance staff specialisation and skillsets
Assist in building up successors at different levels
Assist in leading research activities and projects
Job Requirements

Recognised Master's in Speech Therapy
Full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council
More than 5 years of experience as a Speech Therapist in a community setting
Experience in project management preferred
Able to work well in a team and independently
Competent in using Microsoft Office software
Strong management, leadership and problem-solving skills
