Job description

About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-level to Senior Network Tooling Engineer to join our team supporting a premier financial services client in Singapore. You will drive the end-to-end engineering of enterprise network tooling platforms—including architecture, upgrades, hardening, integration, and continuous improvement. Your core mission is to build robust integrations and automation workflows that reduce manual overhead, strengthen audit evidence, and ensure seamless monitoring across evolving network and security estates.

Responsibilities

Platform Engineering & Architecture:

SolarWinds: Lead architecture and engineering of NPM, NCM, and NTA, covering polling design, alerting frameworks, NCM compliance policies, automated config backups, custom dashboards, hardening, and upgrades.
Infoblox: Manage NIOS grid design, DNS/DHCP/IPAM architecture, IPAM data model integrity, DNS security features, and automation via WAPI.
AlgoSec: Handle platform engineering, device onboarding (Check Point, Palo Alto), and FireFlow workflow design.
Cisco ISE / Forescout: Implement robust platform-level integrations (pxGrid, eyeExtend) and log forwarding to SIEM.
Ensure high availability (HA), robust backup/restore, disaster recovery design, and accurate asset inventories across all tooling infrastructure.
Integration & Automation:

Architect and build seamless integrations between network tools and ServiceNow (e.g., automated change records, AlgoSec FireFlow workflows).
Reconcile Infoblox IPAM with discovery platforms to guarantee 100% live subnet and device monitoring coverage.
Develop automated configuration compliance and change reporting dashboards tailored for rigorous audit requirements (e.g., MAS TRM).
Engineer telemetry, SNMP, log ingestion, and API integrations during data centre and security estate migrations to ensure uninterrupted monitoring.
Write clean, maintainable automation scripts in Python and Ansible, managed via Git with peer-review protocols.
Standards & Documentation:

Design intelligent event correlation and alerting models to suppress noise and elevate actionable signals for operations teams.
Document platform architectures, integration specs, and operational runbooks for seamless handover.
Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
6 to 10 years of overall network engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused specifically on engineering and integrating enterprise network tooling platforms (console-only administration will not suffice).
Hands-on engineering experience ( HA, upgrades, backup/restore ) with at least two of the following: SolarWinds, Infoblox, or AlgoSec .
Strong proficiency in Python scripting against REST APIs (Infoblox WAPI, SolarWinds SWIS, AlgoSec API).
Proven experience with Git-based version control, code reviews, and ServiceNow integration (REST / MID Server).
Solid understanding of core networking fundamentals (routing, switching, SNMP, syslog, NetFlow).
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, fast learner, and adaptable team player with good communication skills.
Good-to-Haves

Experience with Ansible, NetBox, Nautobot, or CI/CD pipelines for network changes.
Familiarity with ThousandEyes, Splunk, ELK, Cisco APIC (ACI), Arista CloudVision APIs, Zscaler, Check Point, or Palo Alto log integrations.
Prior working experience within the banking or financial services sector.
Professional certifications such as SolarWinds Certified Professional, Infoblox/AlgoSec certifications, Cisco CCNP Automation (DevNet Professional), or Red Hat Ansible certification.
