Overview

Join our team as a Lead Java Solutions Engineer and play a key role in designing, building, and supporting robust enterprise applications for a leading banking organisation. You'll drive the development and optimisation of deployment pipelines, ensuring seamless application releases and high operational standards in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable back-end components using Java and Spring Boot.
Build, manage, and optimise Jenkins pipelines to drive automated build, testing, and continuous integration workflows.
Plan and execute end-to-end application deployments across User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production environments.
Administer environment configurations, troubleshooting, and automation tasks utilising Linux and advanced Shell scripting.
Manage job scheduling, batch processing, and secure enterprise data flows leveraging products like Control-M, Aldon, and Connect: Direct.
Work closely with infrastructure, QA, security, and production support teams to ensure release governance, high availability, and operational stability.
What we need

Minimum 6+ years of professional software engineering experience focusing on application development and implementation support.
Advanced proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
Proven hands-on experience setting up and managing Jenkins and version-controlled CI/CD workflows.
Strong operational competence in Linux environments coupled with robust Shell scripting capabilities.
Practical knowledge and implementation experience with enterprise tools including Control-M, Aldon, and Connect: Direct.
Preferred Qualifications

Domain Expertise: Prior background working within a Banking or Financial Services technology environment.
Ecosystem Familiarity: Prior exposure to banking standard platforms, release tools, and change management frameworks (such as WCM, Aldon RDO, or UFW).
Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks, application security scanning tools (e.g., SonarQube, Veracode), and structured release governance.
